Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Crozet, Virginia is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.
Position Overview:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Work 35 or more hours per week in the golf shop and conduct 5–10 lessons or clinics.
• Assist with membership goals and related initiatives.
• Support resident PGA professionals in merchandise concessions, including receiving, displaying, selling, maintaining par levels, handling special orders, and managing physical inventory.
• Contribute to robust junior golf program initiatives.
• Plan, teach, and execute group clinics and private lessons alongside resident professionals.
• Lead full execution of golf tournaments and events.
• Train and supervise outside staff to uphold club standards.
• Serve as handicap lead and provide club fitting services.
• Report directly to the Director of Golf and Head Professional.
• Support the achievement of top-tier customer service standards.
• Oversee scheduling and supervisory duties as needed.
• Act as lead professional in the absence of the Head Professional and Director of Golf.
• Perform club repair services.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate golf-related activities.
• Promote a positive and professional image within the community.
• Play with members and guests to foster engagement and promote the club.
Requirements:
PGA professionals are encouraged to apply.
Two or more years of experience in the golf industry.
PGA Member preferred or PGA Level II graduate.
Demonstrates drive and responsibility to assist in meeting fiscal goals.
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly detail-oriented.
Passionate about executing tournaments and events.
Enthusiastic about teaching and growing the game.
Experience with Club Profit Systems (not required).
Experience with Golf Genius Tournament Software (required).
Familiarity with Foresight Sports GC Quad (helpful).
Compensation:
$45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year.
