Job Description

As a dedicated Audit Manager, you'll lead and complete complex audit engagements throughout the audit lifecycle, including understanding horizontal and vertical business impacts, integrating audits with IT, analytics, and projects, and reviewing work papers. May lead engagements as Auditor-In-Charge (AIC). Maintains knowledge of financial services regulations. Creates and independently performs complex work assignments and problem resolution in support of risk-based assurance and advisory engagements. Leverages results from engagements and continuous monitoring activities to assist Audit Leadership in updating risk assessments. Adheres to the Institute of Internal Auditors' International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Code of Ethics. This role may travel up to 20%. The position requires being in the office 4 days per week and can be based in San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, or Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities include serving as Auditor-in-Charge and main point of contact for business through audit engagements, leading and executing complex audit engagements, continuous monitoring, advisory activities, special reviews, investigations, executing multiple areas of complex test work, audit documentation, leading day-to-day engagement efforts, developing risk & control matrices, verifying audit report content, reviewing team work, ensuring compliance with audit standards, communicating with regulators, guiding team on audit tools, analyzing data, identifying control weaknesses and recommending corrective actions, leading team audit activities, building relationships internally and externally, providing coaching and training, and assisting Audit Leadership with risk profiles and assessments. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 6 years of relevant audit or related experience, knowledge of internal audit principles, effective communication skills, understanding of risks and controls, mentoring experience, and ability to work in a dynamic environment. Preferred qualifications include experience in financial insurance or actuarial audit, strong audit knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills, professional skepticism, and understanding of insurance products. Compensation range is $114,080 - $218,030 with pay incentives possible.
