Job Description

About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Data & Cloud Transformation Strategist to lead the development and execution of data and cloud transformation strategies. This role is focused on partnering with senior customer leaders to define their data modernization journeys and showcase the business value of adopting next-generation data and cloud solutions. You will serve as a trusted advisor, collaborating closely with sales teams and technical experts to drive pre-sales initiatives that align with customer objectives and business growth. This is a strategic and consultative position, blending deep domain expertise in data engineering and cloud technologies with strong communication and client engagement skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer conversations with CXOs, Directors, and VPs to understand their data challenges and business ambitions.
  • Define and articulate clear data transformation roadmaps with actionable insights, milestones, and timelines.
  • Own technical discussions, workshops, and presentations related to data engineering and cloud transformation.
  • Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to develop proposals and lead responses to RFPs, focusing on solution value rather than direct sales.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering concepts such as Databricks, Snowflake, Python, SQL, data lakes, and architecture modernization. Create compelling content, solution briefs, whitepapers, and case studies to support client engagements and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Work cross-functionally to align pre-sales efforts with technical delivery and customer expectations.
  • Mentor junior team members, promoting best practices and continuous improvement of service delivery.
  • Build lasting relationships with key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities by aligning emerging solutions with evolving customer needs.
  • Track and report KPIs related to data transformation initiatives.
  • Communicate progress and impact clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Data Engineering including technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, Python, SQL.
  • Proven expertise in cloud migration and modernization projects using AWS and Azure.
  • Strong background in data architecture, solution design, and data transformation strategy.
  • Demonstrated success in pre-sales roles with broad technical knowledge and client-facing experience.
  • Ability to confidently lead discussions and presentations with senior executives.
  • Comfortable balancing technical insight with business acumen; hands-on coding is not required but up-to-date technical familiarity is essential.
  • Experienced technology professional who has transitioned from hands-on technical roles to strategic business-facing roles.
  • Confident communicator and persuasive presenter, skilled at translating complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Collaborative team player with a passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge.
  • Avoids overstating technical skills; transparent about real expertise.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, client-centric environment.

Why join?

  • Be a key player in shaping and executing innovative data and cloud strategies that transform businesses at scale.
  • Collaborate directly with senior executives and cross-functional experts in a dynamic, supportive environment.
  • Benefit from ongoing professional development, mentorship, and opportunities to deepen your expertise across data engineering and cloud technologies.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by working with cutting-edge tools and methodologies, contributing thought leadership that influences the market.
  • Thrive in a workplace that values open communication, teamwork, and a culture of continuous improvement.
