We’re seeking a skilled Broadcast Producer to assist with the planning and production of live and pre-recorded radio shows featuring news, music, talk, sports, traffic and feature productions. Responsibilities include generating original ideas, encouraging ideation from others, carrying out thorough research, obtaining materials and scheduling guests, giving direction to presenters and crew, managing budgets, obtaining permissions or licenses for recordings and broadcasts, monitoring listener communications, collaborating with program contributors to ensure quality standards, using broadcasting technologies such as soundboards and editing software, scheduling and monitoring live radio streams, assisting with time-keeping, saving show recordings, archiving files, and post-production editing. Requirements include a creative mindset, excellent writing and storytelling skills, knowledge of the radio market and audience demographics, experience with recording equipment and radio studios, ability to build rapport and pursue information, planning and organizational skills, knowledge of laws and regulations around radio productions, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms. The role requires respect for others, ability to work independently, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and professionalism in collaboration.
