Production Supervisor - Chemicals - Manufacturing

Our client, a regional manufacturer of specialty industrial adhesives, requires an experienced chemical production professional to serve as Production Supervisor at their Memphis, TN area manufacturing plant. 

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations which includes planning, scheduling and monitoring product work flow through the process. 
• Supervise plant production personnel to ensure manufacturing objectives are met on a timely basis. 
• Support inventory operations to include tracking of raw materials to maintain undisrupted production. 
• Ensure compliance to all safety, quality and operational standards while providing leadership on the manufacturing floor. 
• Complete administrative tasks related to employee hours and attendance, disciplinary actions and workforce planning. 

Requirements

• At least 5 years of production planning experience in a chemical or process manufacturing environment. 
• High School diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor's Degree is beneficial. 
• Experience supervising manufacturing personnel on the production floor. 
• Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems and offline planning tools. 
• Solid understanding of forecasting, scheduling and resource planning. 
• Basic familiarity with chemical raw materials and manufacturing processes including Quality Control. 
• Specialty Chemical or Adhesives background is preferred. 
• Mechanical aptitude and mathematical proficiency. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
• Forklift experience.
