Overview Joby Aviation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Recruiter to join our People Team. This role will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for software positions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, collaborating closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, attract top talent, and ensure a smooth, data-driven recruitment process. This role requires an understanding of software positions, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for finding top talent.
Responsibilities - Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to assess workforce needs and forecast hiring demands
- Partner with hiring managers to assess team needs and build targeted talent pipelines
- Create and post compelling, accurate technical job descriptions aligned with team needs
- Source and screen candidates for a wide variety of roles across software functions
- Conduct structured interviews and coordinate technical assessments
- Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts and offer negotiations
- Follow up with passive candidates and nurture long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill roles
- Provide regular reports on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline activity, and hiring trends
Required - BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field
- Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience, particularly in software or technical roles
- Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical job requirements
- Experience with applicant tracking systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Desired - Experience with iCIMS ATS system
- Background in software, high-tech or start-up industries
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $118,000-$157,300/yr. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
