Eternos is an AI startup founded by Robert LoCascio in 2024, who was the previous Founder & Previous CEO at LivePerson. Eternos provides realistic AI replicas of individuals that allow people to preserve, share, and interact with their memories and knowledge in ways never seen before. In May 2024, Eternos was internationally recognized as the first to create a complete digital twin that included the highest-quality digital voice. Eternos recently closed a round of Tier one VC financing to expand our operations.

Responsibilities:

This role is a foundational one within our organization to lead our Backend Engineering team. We are looking for a full-time employee with a start date of ASAP. We are fully in-person located in the San Francisco Bay Area . We are building for the future!

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the Master action plan and design the roadmap for Eternos’ backend architecture. You will work cross-functionally with several hardware and software teams and will be responsible for evaluating the efficacy of the proposed changes. Your work will have tremendous impact across Eternos’ platform. 

Responsibilities: 

• Built and Maintain Eternos’ services
• Work with cross functional teams such as Marketing, Data Science, and Customer Success to understand requirements and deliver end to end solutions
• Ensure the Eternos Backend infrastructure is world class and at the cutting edge in Q2 2025.
• Optimizing Code: driving costs down and performance up
• Ensure software stability by conducting quality assurance and user testing to identify and address any bugs 
• Document Code and process to improve collaboration with knowledge sharing within the company

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent
• 5+ Years experience, MS or PHD in computer science or related field
• Deep Understanding of AI Models/ML; you know the math!
• Proven industry experience with strong background in LLMs, RAG, and advanced machine learning techniques
• Passionate about solving exciting problems related to personal AI
• Your own opinions regarding LLM-based software
