Description POSITION: Welder/Fabricator
SHIFT: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (Friday, 6:00 am - 11:00 am; additional OT as required)
PAY RATE: $19.00 - $22.00+ per hour (Depending On Experience) + Full Benefits Package
LOCATION: Lubbock, TX

- Follow all company safety and quality requirements
- Mastered all aspects of level 1 position
- Qualified in welding disciplines required for the facility
- Able to work on semi routine assignments
- Requires minimal help from supervisor on new tasks
- Shows initiative to recognize areas of opportunity within current standard procedures
- Maintains technical qualifications required for positions
- Prompt and dependable attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills And Qualities - Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance
- Fits and welds subassemblies into final position with flat or horizontal welds
- Accurately measures to specified tolerances
- Performs flat and horizontal welding
- Advanced knowledge of weld symbols
- Basic oxy fuel and/or carbon arcing
- Able to final inspect welds
- Able to do basic Layouts
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric)
- Ability to work with others
- Ability to work safely and accurately
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace
- Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal
- The trait of being dependable and trustworthy
Education And Work Experience - 3-5+ year(s) of welding experience preferred.
